Something to shred? Thursday is your day

A free Shred Day is being offered Thursday by Richland County and the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs .

The event is from 8 a.m. to noon and 2 to 6 p.m. at S.C. Consumer Affairs Headquarters, 3600 Forest Drive.

Residents also are encouraged to bring at least one nonperishable donation for Harvest Hope Food Bank.
