A car and part of the building of the Exxon station at the corner of Farrow Road and Columbia College Drive were damaged in a fire Sunday night.

More than $25,000 worth of damage was done to the car and building, Columbia Deputy Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins estimated.

The cause was apparently an unattended cooking pot in the car wash area of the gas station, Jenkins said.
