Updated: Man dead in Richland shooting ID'd

A Cameron, S.C., man has been identified as the victim in a Friday night shooting in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood.

Darrick L. Darvy, 30, was shot multiple times, including in the chest, and died of blood loss at the scene, Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said.

Sheriff’s deputies are searching for Julius Marvin Jacobs, of 229 Roosevelt Jacobs Road, Columbia, on charges of murder, said Sgt. Kim Myers with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said Darvy and Jacobs, 27, were arguing in the 100 block of Roosevelt Jacobs Road, just off Fairfield Roads in north-central Richland County.

No one else was injured in the 10 p.m. incident.
