Recycle scrap tires, oil and batteries

Firestone Complete Auto Care locations in Columbia will accept scrap tires, used oil and car batteries for recycling as part of the 2008 Great American Cleanup, coordinated by Keep the Midlands Beautiful.

Firestone will accept recyclables until May 31.

Participating locations include:

• 1738 Gervais St.

• 2010 N. Beltline Blvd.

• 7204 Parklane Road

• 7515 Garners Ferry Road

• 835 Bush River Road
