Loris man charged with two counts of kidnapping

A Loris man was arrested after authorities say he kidnapped his 2-year-old daughter and 29-year-old estranged wife, setting off a statewide Amber Alert.

Marco Vaught, 25, is charged with two counts of kidnapping, Loris police said. He was arrested about 6:15 p.m. Saturday in Brunswick County, N.C., police said.

Vaught is accused of abducting his daughter, Namia, and estranged wife, Evette, who were reported missing about 9 p.m. Friday.
