BEAUFORT — The University of South Carolina-Beaufort will use $200,000 of stimulus money to create a “niche campus” arts program, the school announced in a news release this week.

The money will be used to renovate existing spaces into state-of-the-art studios and classrooms, purchase new art equipment and create a ceramics studio, the release said.

The Studio Art program is scheduled to launch in spring 2010.
