Man arrested in drive-by shooting

A man wanted in connection with a drive-by shooting Monday night in the Greenview community has been arrested.

Cordera Be’ne Hopkins, 19, is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and with discharging a firearm into a dwelling, said Columbia Police Capt. Carl E. Young.

Hopkins was arrested Wednesday and is at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Police said several people in a white SUV fired shots at a home on Gabriel Street late Monday night and then fled.
