THOMAS HEYWARD ACADEMY AT HILTON HEAD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

When: 7 p.m. today

What's important: The key matchup will be Thomas Heyward's defense against Hilton Head Christian's spread offense. The Rebels were overwhelmed by Orangeburg Prep's spread offense last week in a 52-9 loss. Hilton Head Christian struggled in the first half against Wilson Hall in its opener on Aug. 18. The Eagles struggled to run the ball consistently, but they got the passing game going in the second half. If quarterback Luke Sirgo and receiver Joey Davis perform like they did during the second half of the Wilson Hall game, it could be a long night for the Rebel defense. The Eagles' defense could also have a tough night, though, if it doesn't do a better job against the run, which is the Rebels' strength.
