Roundup: Saluda snags shutout win

At Saluda, Keke Clark rushed for 91 yards, and teammate Drey Mitchell added 50 for Salucda.

Drey Mitchell completed 12 of 20 passes for 171 yards. His favorite receiver was Trevor Kelley, who caught six passes for 95 yards.

Saluda (1-1) wil travel to Ninety Six, and Ridge Spring Monetta (0-2) will play host to McCormick next week.

At Gilbert, Marco Anderson ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Indians (2-0).

Johnny Bowers ran a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, and Gilbert quarterback Adam Spires threw for one touchdown and ran for another.

Mark Robinson had an 18-yard touchdown reception for the Indians.

Sean Davis scored three touchdowns and ran for 116 yards for Pelion (1-1).

At Orangeburg, top-ranked Hammond ran its winning streak to 11 games behind a balanced offensive attack.

Running back Brad Meredith scored five touchdowns en route to 155 yards rushing for the Skyhawks (2-0).

Quarterback Cliff Ayers threw for 242 yards, completing 12 of 17 passes. Receivers Taylor Smith (four catches, 121 yards) and Kyle George (five catches, 103 yards) also turned in strong performances.
