The seventh annual Chick-fil-A Classic Holiday Basketball Tournament will be Dec. 19-23 at Richland Northeast High.

Teams participating in this year's nationally ranked tournament include the Lower Richland Diamonds, Bishop McGuinness Catholic (Oklahoma City, Okla.) Ravenscroft (Raleigh), Miller Grove High (Lithona, Ga.), Myers Park High (Charlotte), Logan (West Virginia), Orlando Christian Prep (Orlando, Fla.), Christ School (Asheville, N.C.), Miller School (Charlottesville, Va.), Union County High, Pinewood Prep, Keenan, C.A. Johnson, Ridge View, Greenville and Richland Northeast.

The 2008 Classic will feature four defending state champions and eight nationally ranked senior players (according to Scouthoops.com).

Tickets are $6 for general admission and $4 for students age 11 and under. There is no reserved seating.

SIGNINGS

Tony Price, a senior baseball player at Ridge View High, signed to play at Anderson University. Price played middle infielder and pitched for the Blazers. Last season he hit .250 and had a home run and seven RBIs.

He also pitched for Ridge View last year, going 1-1 with a 1.68 ERA.
