PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

OFFENSE

Josh Sanga, Chapin, Sr.

Rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries in Eagles’ win against A.C. Flora

DEFENSE

Markeem Blount, Irmo

Defensive end forced two fumbles, made two sacks, nine total tackles and a quarterback pressure in Irmo’s 31-24 win over North Augusta.

Both players will be honored at the Nov. 13 meeting of the Columbia Touchdown Club, where radio host Mark “Packman” Packer will be the guest speaker. The luncheon begins at noon at Seawell’s in Columbia.

QUARTERBACK

Robert Council, Camden, Sr.

Passed for 231 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown in Bulldogs' victory.

Kersean Wilson, Richland Northeast, Sr.

Completed 11 of 17 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown and rushed 11 times for 85 yards in Cavaliers' win at Aiken.

OFFENSIVE LINEMEN

Jacquez Jenkins, Richland Northeast, Sr.

Center had a big game in Cavaliers' win against Aiken. Graded out at 98 percent with six pancakes and three knockdown blocks.

C.J. Cannon, Dutch Fork, Jr.

Made five key blocks to grade out at 91 percent for the Silver Foxes. Also made two catches for 44 yards.

James Barnes, Keenan, Sr.

Graded out at 94 percent with five pancake blocks in Raiders' win against Andrew Jackson. On defense, made 14 tackles, four for losses, and two sacks.

RUNNING BACKS

Jamar Pontoon, Pelion, So.

Rushed 30 times for 192 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers.

Rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries in Eagles' win against A.C. Flora

Ryan Smith, Airport, Sr.

Rushed six times for 136 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown run.

Adrian Wigfall, Lexington, Sr.

Rushed 13 times for 105 yards and had 188 yards on kick returns. Scored two touchdowns in the Wildcats'

WIDE RECEIVERS

Kyari Williams, Keenan

Made five catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns for the Raiders.

Taquan West, Batesburg-Leesville, So.

Made five catches for 102 yards and a touchdown in Panthers' victory.

Joey English, Heathwood Hall, Sr.

Made four receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown in Heathwood Hall win

David Frazier, Irmo, Jr.

Made six catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns in Yellow Jackets' 31-24 victory at North Augusta.

DEFENSIVE LINEMEN

Belton Amaker, Heathwood Hall, Sr.

Made 14 tackles, two tackles for loss and a sack in Highlanders' victory.

Curtis Hill, Blythewood, Sr.

Made seven solo tackles, 12 total, including six tackles for losses, one sack and a two quarterback hurries in Bengals' win against Spring Valley.

Chris Phillips, Airport, Sr.

Made 13 total tackles, three for losses, in one half against Swansea.

Markeem Blount, Irmo

Made six solo tackles, three assists, one tackle for loss, two forced fumbles, two sacks and a quarterback pressure.

Jordan Olmstead, Dutch Fork, Sr.

Made five solo tackles, five assists and recovered a fumble to grade out at 94 percent for the Silver Foxes.

LINEBACKERS

Donald Martin, Pelion

Made 12 tackles, one for loss and recovered a fumble for the Panthers.

Morgan Whalen, Heathwood Hall, Sr.

Made nine solo tackles, 14 total and two tackles for losses. Caused three fumbles and recovered one, made a quarterback hurry and blocked a kick.

Harrison Goins, Blythewood, Sr.

Made 18 total tackles, nine primary, and one tackle for a loss in Bengals' victory.

Tajh Winbush, Keenan

Made 10 tackles and returned an interception 54 yards for a touchdown in Raiders' victory.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Sterling Greene, Camden, Sr.

Made eight solo tackles and three assists to grade out at 90 percent for the Bulldogs.
