Lexington Town Hall is spending $3,000 to come up with a plan for a new park downtown.
Plans call for the park to cover some or all of four acres adjoining the Old Mill shopping center and Reserve at Mill Pond apartments on Main Street.
Putting a park on the east edge of downtown is “a great entrance,” Councilman Ted Stambolitis said.
The new park — the town’s fifth — is part of a plan to spruce up downtown.
Neither a price tag for the project nor its opening for public use are settled on yet.
