For next week's presidential inauguration, the Public Radio International program "The Takeaway" is asking for your help.
The program, syndicated by ETV Radio, has enlisted poet and former USC professor Kwame Dawes to compile a "People's Poem" from Twitter users and listeners. The poem will be aired next week on the program before Pres. Barack Obama swears in for his second term.
It's not the first time that Dawes has enlisted the help of others to read a presidential poem, however. In 2009, Dawes wrote a poem titled "New Day" in honor of Obama's first inauguration, and we asked a cross-section of people from the Midlands to help him read it. Watch video of the the poem.
