Franklin J. Smith Jr. has been named managing shareholder of Columbia-based Richardson Plowden & Robinson. Smith, a construction law attorney, has been with the firm for 30 years. He has been named a “Best Lawyer in America” for the past 11 years and was included in Greater Columbia Business Monthly’s 2013 “Midland’s Legal Elite.” The firm has also named Jared H. Garraux a shareholder. Garraux has worked in the Columbia office since 2007. Both are graduates of the University of South Carolina School of Law.
