RAND study finds SC will pay high price for Medicaid decision

The new RAND Corp. study concluded that not expanding will cost SC and 13 other non-participating states a total of $1billion more on uncompensated care in 2016 than if they did expand plus $8.4 billion in lost federal payments, according to the nonprofit think tank.
