Accounting firm acquires another firm
Columbia accounting firm Derrick, Stubbs & Stith has acquired the public accounting practice of Frankie and Karen Dial, who retired from the firm of Dial, Hite & Associates of Lexington in May. Under the acquisition, JoAnn Hebda, formerly with Dial, Hite, & Associates, has joined Derrick Stubbs as a familiar face for transitioning clients. The Dials also will remain as part of the transition team through the end of the year. The firm will offer clients the same services, as well as a range of new services and expertise, Derrick Stubbs managing partner David Masters said.
Remodeled Kroger on Two Notch reopens Wednesday
Kroger will reopen its newly renovated store at 10136 Two Notch Road in Northeast Richland County at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The store, which opened in 1997, has been undergoing a remodel since January. Customers can expect layout changes, including a relocated pharmacy for added convenience and an enhanced and expanded deli and bakery area. The store also will feature new self-checkout lanes, new décor and renovated bathrooms.
