RICHLAND COUNTY, SC The renovated Decker Center housing some Richland County offices will open for a preview tour in two weeks.
The $31 million center will house the central Magistrate Court now in downtown Columbia, a substation for deputies and meeting space for community events.
The preview with guided tours starts at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 at the center, 2500 Decker Blvd.
The project has been in the making since county officials purchased the site in 2011.
Never miss a local story.
The Decker Center tour is part of the county’s Richland 101 free, multi-week course that teaches participants the basics of county government. The next session begins in the spring.
