An Orangeburg County woman has claimed a $1 million lottery ticket sold at a local store.

The woman, who did not wish to share her name, bought the winning ticket at Bells Marina on Old Highway 6 in Eutawville. She was joined by her children when she claimed her prize. The odds of winning were 1 in 1.5 million.

At home, relaxing and watching television, she scratched the Money Money Millionaire ticket, according to a press release from the S.C. Education Lottery.

“I saw the $1 million on the ticket and laid it down,” she said. “Then I picked it back up.”

The winner did not share any definite plans for the winnings.

“I’m going to enjoy this,” she promised surrounded by family admiring the check.

For selling the claimed ticket, Bells Marina in Eutawville received a commission of $10,000..
