Flights into and out of Columbia Metropolitan Airport are about back to normal.
Although the rough weather associated with the winter storm now in the Northeast is continuing to cause some ripple effect delays, most flights are on time.
“We are more or less back to business as usual,” Columbia airport spokeswoman Kaela Harmon said. “The only cancellations were very early this morning.
“Runways are clear,” she added. “The airlines are trying to get back on track. Hopefully, everyone will be able to get to here they need to be with minimal issues.”
A total of about 60 flights were cancelled during the storm. All 40 flights at the airport were cancelled Wednesday, and about half Thursday, mostly in the morning.
Harmon urged travelers to contact their airlines, as some delays may occur because of backups at Northeastern airports.
