Citadel announces speakers for commencements
Air Force Secretary Deborah Lee James will deliver the commencement address when cadets graduate from The Citadel next month.
The state military college announced Thursday that James, who was appointed to the post last year, will address cadets during graduation exercises on May 10 at McAlister Field House.
That afternoon, The Citadel holds commencement for its graduate college.
Timothy “Scott” Case, co-founder and CEO of Main Street Genome and a founder of Priceline.com, is the scheduled speaker for the afternoon ceremony.

Clemson to install Clements during commencement
Dr. James P. Clements will be installed as Clemson University’s 15th president during the school’s May 9 commencement ceremonies.
In a shift from the traditional standalone inauguration, Clements will deliver portions of his inaugural speech at each of the day’s three graduation ceremonies.
Clements, who took office in December, previously served as president of West Virginia University.
Commencement ceremonies will be held at 9:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. They will be streamed live at www.clemson.edu.
