Clemson to install Clements during commencement

Dr. James P. Clements will be installed as Clemson University’s 15th president during the school’s May 9 commencement ceremonies.

In a shift from the traditional standalone inauguration, Clements will deliver portions of his inaugural speech at each of the day’s three graduation ceremonies.

Clements, who took office in December, previously served as president of West Virginia University.

Commencement ceremonies will be held at 9:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. They will be streamed live at www.clemson.edu.
