Even for Famously Hot Columbia the past five days have been remarkably warm

The forecast high for Friday is 91, according to the National Weather Service. That would be the fifth 90-degree day of the month, only nine days into May. Last year, Columbia had only one 90-degree day in the entire month of May.

Highs are expected to drop into the 80s with more clouds and a chance of thunderstorms during the weekend.
