The City of Columbia Water Works has lifted a boil water advisory for customers of Stonebrook Drive and Stormy Creek Lane in the Crickentree subdivision, which is located in Richland County.

Bacteriological samples were taken after an intense flushing of the distribution system, according to the City of Columbia Water Works.

Residents no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking.

A busted 8-inch water main north of Lake Carolina has prompted Columbia Water officials to issue a boil water advisory for resident of two streets in the Crickentree subdivision this week.
