A boil water advisory issued for Richland County residents near Riverbanks Zoo has been lifted.
The advisory was issued Monday following a problem with a 24-inch water main.
Customers of Gracern Road, Candi Lane, Rivermont Drive and Wildlife Parkway, located in Richland County, no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking, according to the City of Columbia Water Works.
Bacteriological samples were collected and analyzed by the City of Columbia Water Works following an intense flushing of the distribution system. The results of the sampling indicate the system is safe for drinking and cooking purposes.
Anyone with questions may call the City of Columbia Customer Care Call Center, 545-3300.
