SCE&G is currently working to restore power after more than 1,000 customers near Garners Ferry lost power around 11:20 a.m. Monday.
A busted insulater caused customers in the area to lose power around 11:20 a.m. Monday, Emily Brady, a SCANA spokeswoman, said.
“Of course we can’t tell 100 percent what caused the power to go out, but the weather is bad,” Brady said. “They’re working on it, and it should be under control pretty soon.”
Brady said power has been restored to many of those customers affected by the outage.
