The City of Columbia Water Works has lifted a boil water advisory for Sandhill area customers of the 500 and 600 blocks of North Crossing Drive in Richland County. Customers no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking or cooking, according to a press release.

Following an intense flushing of the distribution system, bacteriological samples were collected and the results of the sampling indicate the system is safe for drinking and cooking purposes.

Anyone with questions may call the City of Columbia Customer Care Call Center at 803-545-3300.
