A fire at a Columbia home near Lake Katherine and Trenholm Road has displaced four and completely destroyed the house, officials with the Columbia Fire Department say.
Firefighters responded to the fire on Quail Lane in a residential area between Trenholm Road and I-77 around 3:15 p.m. Sunday, department spokesman Brick Lewis said in a statement released Sunday.
Heavy black smoke could be seen as fire trucks arrived on the scene.
Two adults and two children were displaced and the home was a complete loss, Lewis said. The fire caused about $375,000 worth of damages.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities are continuing to investigate.
