Gas valve shut off after truck hits valve station in Calhoun County

SCE&G has turned off a pipeline after a truck hit a valve station early Wednesday morning in Calhoun County.

A truck hit a valve station, which controls controls the flow of natural gas through the pipeline, early Wednesday, according to Eric Boomhower of SCE&G.

We have turned off the gas so no more gas is flowing out of the station, Boomhower said.

At this point, we aren’t expecting an interuption of service to customers.
