Eye on traffic, 5 p.m.: Some roadways slow heading out of town

With just over an hour to the 6 p.m. USC-Texas A&M kickoff, traffic was moving well, albeit slowly, around the stadium.
Some of the traffic heading toward the stadium, on Assembly in the heart of downtown, was easing up a bit.
But commuters heading out of town, taking Taylor Street across Assembly and down toward Huger Street, found traffic backed up between Assembly and Palmetto Health Baptist.
Lane reversals to in-bound traffic only are in effect along main thoroughfares leading to the stadium, including Assembly, Bluff, Rosewood and George Rogers Boulevard. There will always be at least one outbound lane leading away from the stadium.
Some lanes also will be reversed for outbound traffic, once the game is over.
Post-game shuttle pickups will be at the Rosewood Drive stop with drop-off at Blowfish Stadium and Colonial Life Arena/Coliseum Lot B.
