The City of Columbia Water Works has lifted a boil water advisory issued for two businesses located on Forest Drive.
The advisory was issued Sunday morning after a water line break occurred.
Water Customers, including Zoe’s Kitchen and Schianos, located on the 4800 block of Forest Drive, no longer need to boil their water prior to drinking and cooking.
Bacteriological samples collected an analyzed after an intense flushing of the distribution system show the system is safe to use for drinking and cooking purposes. Any water customers with questions should call the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control at (803) 545-4370. The City of Columbia Customer Care Call Center, (803) 545-3300, may also answer other questions regarding the advisory.
