Now you can stuff yourself with turkey and practice your figure eight all in the same day.
Main Street ICE returns to Columbia for a third season beginning Thanksgiving Day.
The rink will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 27 at Boyd Plaza, on the corner of Main and Hampton streets, and will remain open through Jan. 19. Opening day is $8. The rink also will be open from 1 to 10 p.m. the day after Thanksgiving.
After that, skaters can skate to their heart’s content during the following hours.
Hours of Operation: Monday through Thursday, 4 to 9 p.m.; Friday, 4 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 9 p.m.
Fee to Skate: $10 for adults; $8 for children (age 12 and younger); $8 for active duty military and seniors (55+). Includes skate rentals. Group reservations are available for 20 or more from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Special Operating Hours: From Dec. 15 through Jan. 2, Main Street ICE will open from noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and noon to 10 p.m. on Friday. The rink will be closed on Christmas day and will be open until midnight on New Year’s Eve.
Specials/ Skate for $8:
• Mondays – Food Drive Night. Bring three canned goods or non-perishable food items for Harvest Hope Food Bank.
• Tuesdays – Government Employee Appreciation Night (federal, state, city and county). Show your employee ID.
• Wednesdays – Youth Group Night.
• Thursdays – College Night. Show your college ID. Participants encouraged to show their school spirit.
