Donita Todd, general manager of WIS-TV, is retiring at the end of February, when she turns 65. Todd said she has spent 40 years in the broadcast television industry and always has wanted to retire at age 65.
“I cherish my time here in Columbia at this great television station and working with our top-notch staff. I leave knowing that they are poised for future success, and I look forward to my next exciting chapter,” she wrote in an email to The State.
Todd said there is no succession plan in place and station owner Raycom Media currently is conducting an executive search for her replacement.
