Lugoff Fire Rescue Services received a call about a car that left an I-20 entrance ramp near Camden and rolled down the hill Thursday afternoon.
The call for a single vehicle crash came in about 1 p.m. Thursday, according to Fire Chief Dennis Ray.
Lugoff Rescue 10, Service 10, and Battalion 1 crews were initially dispatched just before the Camden exit in the east bound lane, but it ended up being on the east bound ramp, Ray said.
A single vehicle went up the embankment then rolled over multiple times, Ray said. There were two passengers trapped in vehicle.
Lugoff firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extricated both passengers with rescue tools, according to Ray.
Both passengers were taken to Palmetto Richland by Kershaw Health EMS for possible trauma, Ray said.
Ray said no other vehicles were involved, and crews cleared the scene around 1:45 p.m.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
