Authorities said they are investigating the death of a 7-year-old boy as a homicide after finding him dead in a home in Easley.
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore said paramedics were called to the home around 9:30 a.m. Friday by someone who said the boy was in cardiac arrest. Shore said the child died on the scene.
He said the case is being treated as a homicide but would not release details about the boy's death. He said more information could be released later Friday. Investigators have a search warrant for the home.
Authorities said the boy was at the home with a younger child and an adult. Deputies said the man is being questioned.
