The University of South Carolina School of Medicine will host a series of workshops on general health matters Tuesdays in October.
Medical professionals will cover such topics as controlling weight, living heart healthy and lowering the risk of strokes.
The classes run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each week. Cost is $20 for all four sessions and includes a Mini-Med School T-shirt and a diploma.
The classes will be held at the USC School of Medicine, 6311 Garners Ferry Road.
