DILLON - A fifth-grader is recuperating after he was hit by a school bus Friday morning.
Media outlets report the Gordon Elementary School student, who suffered a broken pelvis, was taken to the hospital.
Police say the student, who was late getting to the stop, was struck by the rear of the bus. Dillon School District 2 Superintendent Ray Rogers says the driver did not know the boy had been hit.
The student had been suspended from riding the bus for three days, including Friday, police said.
