ROCK HILL - A group of York County residents will know by the end of the year whether they’ll be forced to be annexed into Rock Hill — until then, their water will flow.
The city’s attorney and the attorney for the Miller Pond neighborhood agreed Thursday and to schedule a trial of the lawsuit filed by the residents against the city by year’s end.
The city agreed to postpone its plans to turn off the water until the case can go to court.
Residents had planned to ask a judge to stop Rock Hill from cutting off their water, a threat the city is using to convince residents to sign annexation petitions.
