Tripp Smith of Gilbert was the winner of the 5K “Bow Tie” run Saturday to honor the late USC President Andrew Sorensen and benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia. Smith’s time was 20:09. Harris Pastides, left, current USC president, started the race at 8 a.m. in front of the Horseshoe on Sumter Street.
