The two people who died in Thursday's single-vehicle wreck on Interstate 26 have been identified.
Tresy Sheron Crowder, 35, of Charlotte, N.C., and Sharhonda Turnipseed, 27, of Monroe, N.C., died Thursday when the Ford Explorer they were riding in went off the side of the highway and overturned in Calhoun County, according to county's coroner Donnie Porth.
The sport utility vehicle was carrying eight individuals and travelling east on the interstate near mile marker 137 when it went off the interstate.
The occupants included an infant, a toddler, an 8-year-old child and five adults.

It is unclear as to who was driving the vehicle. The wreck remains under investigation.
