Seniors at Magnolia Manor of Columbia had a chance to go to a "drive-in" movie Wednesday night with an outdoor movie show. True, it wasn't really a drive-in, but to re-create the experience, audio was played through walkies-talkies while popcorn and ice-cold soda were served.
The evening came courtesy of administrator Val Kreil, maintenance director William Antley and the men's group of Magnolia Manor who built a screen out of PCV pipe, fittings and blackout cloth. The "drive-in" movie featured "The Three Stooges" followed by "The Illusionist."
