Timothy Anglin, 43, was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature Thursday following a June 2009 incident at the home he shared with his girlfriend.

Interviewed about the incident late last month, Anglin allegedly admitted that he broke the victim’s leg when he kicked her after she fell on the ground during an argument, the warrant charges.

Anglin was hired by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department in August 2008. He was fired by Sheriff James Metts Friday after Metts learned about the State Law Enforcement Division arrest warrant.

If convicted, Anglin could be sentenced to one to ten years in jail, a press release from SLED stated.
