A single-vehicle collision affected traffic on a popular Lexington County road Sunday.
Corley Mill Road, near River Bluff High School, was limited to a single lane of travel after a traffic incident according to the Lexington Police Department.
A woman was driving on Corley Mill Road when she claimed a deer ran into the road in front of her vehicle, causing her to swerve and drive down a 40-foot decline, according to Cpl. Cameron Mortenson.
The woman was the vehicle’s lone occupant and no injuries were reported, Mortenson said.
The lane was closed to tow out the woman’s vehicle, according to Mortenson, who said the closure lasted less than an hour.
