A third incumbent has filed to hold onto a seat on Columbia City Council.
Four seats on the seven-seat, nonpartisan council are up for election Nov. 7.
District 4 representative Daniel Rickenmann on Tuesday filed for a full, four-year term as councilman for the district that encompasses the eastern side of Columbia. Rickenmann is completing what was left of deceased Councilwoman Leona Plaugh’s term.
Sam Davis, council’s senior member, and Tameika Isaac Devine, a citywide representative, filed on Monday. Davis is seeking another term as councilman for District 1, which is largely North Columbia. Devine, the only woman on council, is an at-large representative, meaning she is elected by all Columbia voters.
There is one additional seat on the fall ballot, that of mayor. Two-term mayor Steve Benjamin is widely expected to seek another four-year term.
Filing closes at noon Sept. 8.
