Lexington County deputies are clearing the scene near Jakes Landing after a daylong standoff with a suspect ended peacefully Tuesday, officials said.
Capt. Adam Myrick. a department spokesman, said the suspect, who barricaded himself inside of a home, was coaxed out of the home peacefully Tuesday afternoon. The suspect has been taken to a local hospital to receive a medical checkup, Myrick said.
There is no word on whether charges are forthcoming.
