Voting was light across Lexington County by midday Tuesday in six runoff elections, officials said.
County election director Dean Crepes described turnout as “very slow but steady.”
About 1,500 absentee ballots were cast before polls opened at 7 a.m., he said.
The runoffs are for solicitor, an S.C. House seat in the Cayce-West Columbia area, two County Council posts, clerk of court and register of deeds. All are among Republicans.
