A Richland County deputy was responding to a possible burglary when his vehicle was t-boned in the Lower Richland area Sunday.
The crash happened just before 12:30 p.m., sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Curtis Wilson said. EMS personnel checked out the deputy and the driver of the other vehicle. No one was injured, Wilson said, and both refused to be transported to a hospital.
The burglary call the deputy was responding to turned out to be a fake, Wilson said. The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
