An 11-year-old girl called the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office on Thursday and asked deputies to stop her mother from driving while drunk.

Officers went to an area near Main Street where the 47-year-old woman pulled over after numerous requests by her daughter to do so, according to the Sheriff's Office. The girl told deputies her mom had been "driving crazy."

The woman admitted to officers the clear glass cup in her console contained vodka, according to an incident report. Another child was in the back seat, the report said.

The children were turned over to another adult, and the mother was charged with DUI, child endangerment and transporting an open container of alcohol.

Her bond was set at $1,733, according to the jail log.
