A dispute between two Rock Hill women over feminine products escalated into a brawl in which one of the combatants claims she was assaulted with a hammer and frying pan Wednesday night, police say.
Officers responding to the Executive Inn on Anderson Road spoke with a woman, 29, who claimed another woman, 22, choked and hit her several times following an argument, according to a Rock Hill police report. The woman admitted that she hit her assailant in retaliation. The victim suffered from scratches and red marks around her neck, and explained to officers that the suspect brought her money to buy the feminine products before they started fighting.
The suspect told officers that the victim assaulted her after she gave the woman $20 to go to the store, the report states. The suspect told police the victim “pulled out” two of her dreadlocks. She told police the victim hit her on the arm with a hammer and on the back of the head with a frying pan. Police did report that the woman had swollen bruises.
Since both women said they were assaulted by the other, police informed them of the courtesy summons process. No arrests were made.
