Judge sets bond at $60,000 for Columbia pastor charged with criminal sexual conduct

Bond was set at $60,000 for a Columbia pastor arrested and charged with criminal seuxal conduct Monday.

Willie Lee Marvin Sr., 51, a pastor at New Life World Ministries on Decker Boulevard is also charged with producing, promoting or directing a sexual performance by a child under 18 and voyeurism.

The judge also ordered Marvin to have no direct or indirect contact with the victim.

An incident report says Marvin lives in the 7600 block of Yorkhouse Road in Columbia. Richland County property records show that property is owned by Willie Lee Marvin Sr. and Madeline Marvin, and the New Life World Ministries Facebook page and Twitter accounts say the church is run by Willie Marvin Sr. and Madeline Marvin.

The incident report also states the victim told police Marvin sent sexually explicit text messages and an obscene photo to a phone Marvin had given to the victim.

The report also says the victim said Marvin had intimate contact with the victim on more than one occasion.

An investigation is ongoing.
