Two men are being sought by the Richland County Sheriff's Department for stealing $12,000 worth of catalytic converters from buses at Interstate Transportation Equipment at 2511 Trotter Rd. in Columbia on Friday, Dec. 20.
The sherif's department said the two suspects were captured on video arriving in a dark four-door Ford, possibly a Fusion. The man on the passenger side of the car is seen getting out and cutting two heavy duty locks on the site's gates.
The thefts took place between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. The parts were taken from 10 Chevrolet 3500 chassis buses parked at the business.
The suspects are wanted for theft and vandalism.
Sheriff Leon Lott asks that anyone with knowledge of the crime to call 1-888CRIME-SC or to visit sccrimestoppers.com.
