Missing Sumter Co. man found safe

Updated: A missing Sumter man was found safe Saturday night, according to police.
Officers were later able to locate him around 8 p.m. at a convenience store in Manning.
Original story:Sumter police are asking for the public’s help in locating 73-year-old James McTillman of English Street in Sumter.
McTillman, who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, is thought to have walked away from his Sumter home around 3 p.m. Saturday.
He’s described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 145 pounds. He has white hair and a white beard, Sumter Police said in a news release.
He was last seen dressed in a black jacket or coat, blank pants, white shirt, white hat and sunglasses.
